We deeply mourn the loss of eminent artist Veera Santhanam.
Sri Veera Santhanam was an artist in every sense of the word from being a staple actor in many hit movie as well paving an extraordinarily successful path for himself as an artist with his unique Bommalattam/puppetry inspired artworks. Despite his immense success, he has been the very definition of modesty. The eminent artist studied at the Government College of Fine Arts, Kumbakonam and from his years spent in the temple town his knowledge and appreciation for Carnatic music was endless. He was recognized not only as an artist in various fields but was a well known social activist. Not only has the world has lost an exceptional artist but has lost a person who was extremely hardworking, genuine and loving. We will miss him.
